Online Art Communities
DeviantArt - http://www.deviantart.com/ - The good thing about this site is the fact that there is a large number of excellent artists and many different genres of art to choose from. The bad thing is that there is probably an equal number of bad artists. That really isn't all that bad because it gives beginners like me a chance to share our drawings and to learn, but it also means that some very good artists get overlooked. More art sites coming soon! | ConceptArt- http://www.conceptart.org/forums/ - Conceptart may not have the large number of different art genres to look through as deviantart does, but where deviantart lacks with critiques and learning, conceptart excels. Their forum section has more than enough tutorials to explore through and is an excellent resource for the beginner or professional. The quality of art is also breath taking at times. |

Andrew Loomis - Andrew Loomis is the author of many illustration and drawing books that are very helpful and some of my favorite.
