Be Still and Know

Sometimes you just have to shut up and listen

This page is more for myself than anything, but if you have stumbled across this page then I encourage you to take a look at some of the links and information.  This page will be a place where I gather links to all my favorite artists, art pages, tutorials, etc, and I hope that in time I will be able to gather helpful resources.

Online Art Communities

DeviantArt - http://www.deviantart.com/ - The good thing about this site is the fact that there is a large number of excellent artists and many different genres of art to choose from.  The bad thing is that there is probably an equal number of bad artists.  That really isn't all that bad because it gives beginners like me a chance to share our drawings and to learn, but it also means that some very good artists get overlooked.

ConceptArt- http://www.conceptart.org/forums/ - Conceptart may not have the large number of different art genres to look through as deviantart does, but where deviantart lacks with critiques and learning, conceptart excels.  Their forum section has more than enough tutorials to explore through and is an excellent resource for the beginner or professional.  The quality of art is also breath taking at times.

Tutorials

The Dimensions of Colour - Need help with color and lighting?  At first glance this website seems to be loaded with information and seems very educational. http://www.huevaluechroma.com/index.php
