Be Still and Know

Someone left this comment referring to an article about a young 12 year old child bride in an Arab country that died during child brith.  It was a tragic article, but this comment  really got on my nerves. "End Religion and evolve as a species."  Um what???  Apparently he doesn't know the same unevolved non-religious people that I know.  I grow weary of this attitude.  The last time I checked Stupidity was an equal opportunist, and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, age, marital status and yes, even religious or non-religious views.  We are all capable of making bad decisions for our lives, and yes, there are many religious groups/people whose ideas are dangerous.  But, to assume that all religious people are unevolved is just as dangerous.  Haven't we been through this before, or did he miss his history lessons on the Holocaust?
